True Stories that Inspire: Michelangelo wasn’t satisfied

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 26, 2008

There is no question about Michelangelo’s secure position in the history of art. He stands head and shoulders above the sculptors of all time. His many masterpieces, including David, Day and Night, Madonna of Bruges, twilight and Dawn, La Pieta, Medict Madonna and Child, and his towering statue of Moses, have inspired mankind for four hundred years.
Yet Michelangelo was never satisfied with his work! After completing his Moses, acclaimed as his greatest work, the master sculptor surveyed his work and then suddenly in anger struck the knee of his statue with his chisel, crying, “ Why dost thou not speak? Here was a man whose ideal was to make cold marble come to life!
Today, we can see the long narrow dent on the knee of Michelangelo’s Moses. It is the trademark of a man who never realized the perfection of his dream. It is the mark of a man who had set his ideal among the stars. It is a symbol of the fact that men becomes masters by attempting the impossible, and by never permitting themselves to be lulled to sleep by the ether of self- satisfaction. Only little men are ever satisfied with their accomplishments- that’s why they remain little. The big men are never satisfied- that’s why they become great.

Freedom or Foolishness?

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 26, 2008

“In a certain City a wealthy businessman lived with his two sons. Well we do not know there names, but let us call them Nathan and Jeba. The businessman had so much money that he could provide every thing that his sons needed. They had lots of food, many pairs of shoes, different style of clothes and what not.Father provided good opportunities for education and wanted them to be self reliant and worthy adults. He expected Nathan and Jeba to grow up as disciplined, good-natured individuals. Therefore he also made some rules and regulations, for them to follow.
Nathan the elder son was obedient and disciplined. He kept all the rules of the home. He never stayed out for late night movies, nor did he inculcate habits of smoking and drinking. Nathan knew that he should never violate his Father’s rules and principles and concentrated mostly on his studies and helped Father on the business whenever necessary. Jeba was just the opposite. He disliked his Father’s restrictions and rules. He always tried to fool his Father and enjoy the pleasures outside home. He loved to smoke cigarette, try every kind of drugs, enjoyed going to the disco, and spend lavishly on his friends. His Father always warned him of the consequences but in vain.
One day, Father was angry because Jeba came home late. Jeba could not tolerate his scolding He felt suffocated in the house pressed with all the rules and regulations and discipline. He was not interested in his Father’s business either. In fact, Jeba never really understood that he was actually squandering his Father’s hard earned money. He took things for granted. So Jeba reacted to his father’s stern words and decided to leave the house for good. He would go and stay with his friends who were very close to him. Then he would have all the freedom to enjoy and live life his own way.
The next morning, Jeba went to his father and asked for his share of wealth. Father was grieved that his own son misunderstood his love. He tried to detain his son but Jeba was adamant. At last father gave Jeba his share of property.
Jeba sold every thing and went away with the money. That day was his happiest, because he was no more bound by any rules and regulations. He was free to do any thing and go anywhere. He had his friends at his side and his pocket was full and heavy with money.
Days passed by. Jeba’s enjoyment knew no bounds. He spent money without reservations. He went to the pub, enjoyed free sex, and tasted every kind of drugs. Wow! Life was beautiful. Yet it was short lived. Gradually Jeba’s money began to dwindle so also his friend circle. He realized to his utter disbelief that his friends were after his money. They were glued to him because of his wealth. When the money was gone they were also gone. Jeba was left alone.
One night, he found himself cold and hungry in the street. He was actually thrown out from a bar. He had no place to sleep, no clothes to wear and of course he was very hungry. What will he do?
Jeba frantically searched for a job but alas he was not able to find even a job of a peon. Finally, desperate with hunger and loneliness, he went to a farm where there was a job vacancy to look after the pigs. Hoping to get some food he opted for the job. The owner wanted his job done first. So with hunger he went to clean the pigs’ pen. There he found some beans, which the pigs eat for their food. With utter weakness and hunger, Jeba grabbed some of the beans and was about to eat them when suddenly he was harshly pushed from behind. Jeba fell face down. He had no strength left to get up. It was a huge pig, which had angrily shoved him aside because the animal was not ready to share his food with the human.
Jeba was sobbing and clawing at the mud. He wanted food and water. Suddenly, his father’s face flashed in his mind. Jeba remembered his Father’s sad, tear strained face as he slammed the door on him while leaving home. Jeba remembered his Father’s servants eating and drinking merrily. They were wearing better clothes than him. He tried to get up from the ground but as he took one step he swooned and fell down. Lying on the floor of the cattle shed with clothes muddy and stinking, Jeba made a descsion. Yes, he would go back to his father’s house. But how can he face him? he has no more inheritance. No he would beg his father to take him as his servant. He had been a fool, taking his Father for granted. He had misused his freedom.
Repenting and crying all the way, some how Jeba managed to approach his house. His steps were feeble out of hunger and also shame. He stopped for a while under the huge banyan tree near the house.
What is this? Jeba saw his father running towards him.. Jeba did not know what to do. Surely he will be thrown out. No sooner has the Father reached near the Banyan tree, Daddy reached for Jeba and hugged him. He had been waiting every day looking from the terrace hoping that his beloved son would return home. It has been one year now but father had never given up hope because he loved his son dearly. At first glimpse he passed him off as a beggar, but then suddenly recognized his own son. Father’s joy knew no bounds. He jumped the stairs two at a time, which was dangerous for his old age.
Jeba was unable to look into his Father’s eyes. He fell down at his knees and sobbed, “ Father I have sinned against you. I disobeyed you, misunderstanding your love and restraints. I have wasted your wealth. I am no more worthy to be called your son. Please accept me as your servant and allow me to stay in your servant quarters.” Daddy was crying, but he held his son tightly as though he would never let him go again. He said “ I forgive you my son. I am glad that you have come back to me. You were lost but now found; you were almost dead but now alive again. I love you my son”
The reunion was terrific. That evening was a time of celebrations. A big feast was prepared. In the presence of all the invitees, Father gifted Jeba a new pair of costly garment, a new shoe and a new ring. It was the symbol of acceptance. His past forgiven and wiped out.
Jeba realized that his Father’s love was even wider and than the widest oceans. In spite of his foolishness, he was accepted back with the same love and care. Lying on the comfortable bed Jeba was pondering, about his misconceptions about freedom.
He had been actually foolish to think that life without rules was actual freedom.

True Stories that Inspire: Hardships are not setbacks

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 22, 2008

Thomas Edison lost most of his hearing at about eight years of age, but he gave us the electric light, phonograph, movies and over a hundred other useful inventions.
There was another man who had terrible hemorrhages of the lungs, and he almost died several times from coughing spells. Yet, while he was invalid, he gave us at least two masterpieces, Treasure Island and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He was Robert Louis Stevenson.
There was a young man who was ill and unhappy most of his short life- heart trouble at seventeen, inherited physical weaknesses, an orphan before he was three and taken in by strangers, kicked out of school, suffered from poverty, and had no fame until after his pitiful death at the young age of forty. Yet, in the short span of twenty years, he gave the world- articles, essays, brilliant criticisms. His poetry is widely read. He wrote short stories and detective stories, and one of his poems is on exhibit at world-famous Huntington Library, at San Marino, California, and is worth $50,000. This poor young invalid was a great literary genius, Edgar Allan Poe.

Jungle Tale: THE TRAP

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 22, 2008

Deep inside the jungle, in the Jungle Doctor’s cabin sat a group of people huddled around the fire. This was their usual routine in the evenings to sit and listen to stories form Doctor David. Doctor David had come to stay in the African jungle for treating patients. Ever since then, people have liked him and accepted him.
David started his story:
“Those who walk according to the instinct of a monkey will surely fall into the death trap. There was a hunter called Peru. He wanted to hunt monkeys form the jungle so he planned a strategy in order to trap monkeys. He brought an empty oil tin from the market and cut a hole in it. The hole was just big enough for a monkey’s hand to slide in.
Then Peru put some sand and stones and on the top he put some groundnuts in the tin. It gave an impression that the tin was filled with groundnuts. So Peru took the tin and kept it under a tree in the jungle and went into hiding in the nearby thicket from where he could have a clear view.
After a while, a group of monkeys arrived in the scene. They were attracted by the smell of groundnuts. Monkeys have a weakness for groundnuts. It was hard to resist. Who could have left the tin of groundnuts? They were talking among themselves. The older monkeys were contemplating about the next action when a young monkey named Toto came near the tin. The smell of groundnuts was to mesmerizing. He was already salivating. The groundnuts were having the better of him, which stopped him from thinking twice. He peeped into the tin and without having a second thought, Toto plunged his hand into the tin. Wow! As soon as he reached into the nuts, he could not bear his joy. He grasped a handful of groundnuts. The next thing was to eat the nuts. All the groundnuts were his. Yum yum yummy………..
Hey! Wait a minute. His hand was not coming out! Toto tried to pull out his hand but to his great surprise his hand was stuck inside. Due to the groundnuts his fist was too big to come out of the hole. Toto screamed. All the monkeys gathered around him and tried to give him suggestions for escape. Toto tried his best to take out his hand but in vain. His hand full of nuts was stuck inside.
Watching form behind the bush Peru was congratulating himself for his trick. The hole was exactly made. Now he can advance and capture his catch.

The Giraffe spoke form the thorn bush and urgently spoke to Toto “ Leave the nuts Toto, then you can bring out your hand”
But Toto was not ready to let go of the nuts. He firmly held on to the nuts and wanted to pull out his hand.
Giraffe spoke again, “ Toto let go of the nuts. It is a trap laid out by the hunter. Leave the nuts.”
Toto turned a deaf ear to the Giraffe.
Slowly Peru came out of his hiding and walked towards Toto. All the other monkeys fled for their lives above the nearby trees. Toto was still holding onto the nuts. He was afraid to see the hunter striding towards him. He screamed and tried to drag the tin alongside him. Peru raised his staff and hit the monkey. Toto was too shocked form the blow. He fell back unconscious. His grip loosened inside the tin and his hand was free. But it was too late. Peru quickly picked up the monkey and out him in a sack.”
There was complete silence inside the cabin as every body was contemplating the misfortune of the monkey.
David said again, “ the name of this trap is Sin. The bible says that Sin tries to enslave us through its allurement. Like the groundnuts, there are many things in this world, which attract us and make us its slave. Perhaps we do not heed to others suggestions or advice for a clean and sinless life and walk according to our own wisdom like the foolish money. Then we arrive in a situation when it is too late for escape.”
We should not let ourselves to be trapped by any means.

True Stories that Inspire: A life of Substance

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 22, 2008

Many times we nurture low self-esteem looking at our figure, complexion, shape of the nose, or comparing with others wealth and status etc, etc. perhaps there are many things that we are not happy about ourselves. We reason by thinking “ if only my situation was different …..” . But it is possible to live a successful and meaningful life. There is no failure within God’s will and no success outside the will of God.

Here is a true story of an unnamed lady who made a big difference in others life with little love, care and patience.
There was an asylum in Boston, which had severely retarded and disturbed individuals as its inmates. One of the patients was a girl who was simply called Little Annie. She was totally unresponsive to others in the asylum. The staff tried everything possible to help her, yet without success. Finally she was confined to a cell in the basement of the asylum and given up as hopeless.
A Christian woman worked at the asylum, and she believed that every one of God’s creatures needed love, concern and care. So she decided to spend her lunch hours in front of Little Annie’s cell, reading to her and praying that God would free her from her prison of silence. Day after day the Christian woman came to Little Annie’s door and read, but the little girl did not respond. Months went by. The woman tried to talk with Little Annie, but it was like talking to an empty cell. She brought little tokens of food for the girl, but they were never received.
Then one day a brownie was missing from the plate the caring woman received from Little Annie’s cell. Encouraged, she continued to read to her and pray for her. Eventually the little girl began to answer the woman through the bars of her cell. Soon the woman convinced the doctors that Little Annie needed a second chance at treatment. They brought her up from the basement and continued to work with her. Within two years Little Annie was told she could leave the asylum and enjoy a normal life. She chose not to leave, though. She was so grateful for the love and attention she was given by the dedicated Christian woman that, she decided to stay and love others as she had been loved. So Little Annie stayed on at the institution to work with other patients who were suffering as she had suffered.
Nearly half a century later, the Queen of England held a special ceremony to honor on e of the most inspiring women in the United States, Hellen Keller. When asked to what she would attribute her success at overcoming her dual handicap of blindness and deafness, Hellen Keller replied, “ If it hadn’t been for Anne Sullivan, I wouldn’t be here today”. Anne Sullivan, who tenaciously loved and believed in an incorrigible blind and deaf girl named Helen Keller, was Little Annie.
Because one loving lady in the dungeon of an insane asylum believed that a hopeless little girl needed God’s love, the world received the marvelous gift of Hellen Keller.

JESUS- The Teacher of All Ages

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 20, 2008

Jesus Christ the Son of God is not only the Savior of the world but He is also counted as a great Teacher. While on earth, not only He healed people and fed the hungry but one of His most wonderful and magnetic work was to teach people about the Kingdom of God. He was definitely a good teacher because many were drawn to hear His wonderful Words of Life. His word brings transformation.
Jesus is the unique Teacher because He not only believed what he taught but also lived His teachings. He loved everyone without any barriers of class or caste. He treated both men and women with equality.
He lived a sinless life therefore His Words are authentic and credible when He expects His followers to be pure and holy. He was never dominant and aggressive.
He Himself was humble and gentle, therefore He never retaliated with anger or revenge when people mocked and insulted Him. Rather He was patient with everyone.
Jesus’ main task was to show the way to heaven. Therefore He says, “ I am the Way, the Truth, and Life. He boldly claims that He is the only mediator between man and God. Unlike many other teachers, He never failed in His words. Therefore He died as our substitute so that we could enter into a living relationship with the Holy God. His life is an example even after thousands of years.
If we minutely observe His life, it is in fact true that Jesus is the very model for every human being. His set an example by portraying the right attitudes, virtues and temperaments that human are meant to portray. Instead, we are filled with all kinds of negative and impure motives.
Hence, the best way to live up to the mark is to imitate Jesus Christ in all that we do. Next time, you are faced with a trying situation please pause for a while and try to think,
“ What would Jesus do?” in the given situation. You will certainly not be a failure.

P.S : To learn more from the Teacher read the four Gospels of the Bible

Amazing facts of the Bible : Nature at HIS Command!!!

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 12, 2008

Have you ever stood near the sea beach and thought that who controls the sea? Well scientists and scholars may have different views but ultimately we have to agree that God does have a role to play in the vast universe. God does control everything.
One such incident from the Bible will reveal that even the sea and the nature obey God.
Once when Lord Jesus and His disciple were crossing the Sea of Galilee by boat, a huge storm arose. The waters became turbulent and the boat was tossed to and fro. It was a heavy rain with thunder and lightening. No body in the boat could stay calm and steady. Every one was sick with fear and tried their best to stay cool but all in vain. Who can stay cool in the midst of an angry sea?
The disciples tried frantically to hold on to the helm and some were trying to throw the water out of the topsy-turvy boat.
One disciple suddenly noticed that Lord Jesus was not in the crowd. Where was He then? They found that He was peacefully asleep in the corner of the boat.perhaps He was tried after the days work. Every one was surprised. How could he sleep like that in the storm? Some of them shouted in the top of their voice and woke him up saying, “Master, why are you asleep, we are all drowning?”
Immediately Jesus woke up. He was only taking a nap. He stood up and raised His hand toward the sea and said, “Be still”. Within a few minutes the storm died down and the sea became clam like a sleeping baby.
Every one was amazed. It was beyond imagination. How can nature take orders?
It was then they realized the power and greatness of Lord Jesus Christ. He was not just any other human being doing some magic out of practice, but it was His divine character because of which even nature obeyed His command. Wow! Mind blowing.
We many not think about it seriously but think of it, if nature respects and obeys God then how much should we not regard and obey God?

THE FOOLISH COBRA

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 12, 2008

Zamba the Cobra lived with his wife Xena in the jungles of Sunderban. They lived happily in a big ant hill under a huge oak tree. Zamba used to go for food and Xena used to look after the children.
One fine day Zamba decided to shift their cozy little home to the outskirts of the village. He was bored with the forest food and was greedy after the food that human beings ate. Xena was unhappy because they were well setteled with their children in the dense forest. She knew there were far greater dangers of being caught or killed if they wandered across the village. The human being could kill them. Therefore she tried her level best to persuade Zamba from making the mistake.
“Let us be happy with what we eat in the jungle” she cried “this is our place. Why should we go break the rules and go near the humans?”
“You foolish woman,” hissed Zamba, “Stop murmuring, it is decide that we are going.”
After few days Zamba, Xena and their five young snakes arrived at the outskirts of the village. They settled down near a tree. Zamba was very excited because he had heard many stories from his friends about the human beings and their food habit. He was eager to taste chickens and eggs.
One sunny afternoon Zamba started in his adventure. Slowly he slithered among the dry leaves and neared a cottage from behind. There was no one around. Zamba wanted to inspect the place a little bit. He could see a small shed where many chickens were feeding and one of the bigger hens was crowing. Suddenly a boy came out from the cottage and carried a white object from underneath the hen.
“Is that the egg, which tastes wonderful?” Zamba thought.
Quickly he inspected the area and went back to his house. He planned to taste the eggs as soon as possible.
The next day as soon as the hen started crowing, Zamba moved smoothly into the shed and swallowed the egg. Then he quietly slide through an opening on the wall and went out.
The boy who came several minutes late was surprised to see the nest empty. There was no egg.
This went on for a while and Zamba was enjoying himself. Xena was begging him to stop this nonsense but his snake sense took the better of him. He was not ready to give up stealing even though it was dangerous. Xena was sure that some day her husband’s theft will end in disaster.
Sure enough the boy Toby who lived in the cottage with his father found out the mystery of the missing eggs. He was in for a big shock and trembled when he saw who the culprit was. Toby told his father and together they made a plan to teach the cobra a lesson.
The next day Zamba unsuspectingly entered the shed and swallowed the egg. The egg seemed unusually warm that day. Perhaps the hen has a high temperature, he mused. As usual he turned to leave through the opening. His routine was to go through the opening which was slightly bigger enough for his figure to pass through. So he used to twist his body a bit so that the egg would break inside his stomach and then he would go out
smoothly. To day as he twisted his body, the egg did not break inside his stomach. Instead he was stuck in the hole on the wall. His head and half of the body was outside and the rest with the egg was inside the shed. Zamba tried again. “hey! Why is the egg not crushing today? He thought?
Quickly Toby and his father moved form their hiding with strong club and weapons in their hands. Snap! Thud! Whoosh! Went their hands. Within a minute justice was done. Zamba was caught in the hole and could not free himself. As his eyes closed, he remembered Zena’s words: “Do not disobey the law of your forest. You will be caught one day”. It was too late now.

Lisa and Her Eating Spree

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 12, 2008

Eating is a process that is important for the growth of our body. When a baby is born, others feed him or her, but as the baby grows he or she soon learns to eat food by him or herself.
It depends on us how we develop our eating habits. There are people who eat very less and starve themselves in order to maintain a good figure whereas there are others who do not care what and how much they eat. Both the attitudes can lead to problem. We should eat enough to keep ourselves healthy and strong and we should always eat food that is good for our bodies.
Well, to days story is not about what to eat but it as all about food manners.
There was little girl Lisa who loved to eat, so much so that she never bothered if others at home ate or not. Every day when Mummy cooked food, she was the first one to eat out of the container. She could never wait for others or for the mealtime. Such was her habit. Well this kind of behavior does not seem awkward when you are a small little girl at home but as Lisa grew up she still continued with her habit. Each time food was cooked Lisa would sneak to the kitchen when one was aware and eat some of the curry. Every one thought she was greedy, selfish and without any self control. She never listened to Mummy’s advice. Lisa never thought that such manners were bothersome and ugly. All she thought was to eat.
One afternoon, Mummy had left some mango pickle on the table. Lisa came back from the school and immediately she wanted to eat something. Mummy gave her some snacks and bourn vita and then she went to visit the Aunty next door who was very sick. Before leaving the house, Mummy clearly instructed Lisa not to touch the pickle on the table. But as she left, Lisa could not control her self. She wanted to taste some pickle.
“Why did Mummy said not eat the pickle? Of course I will eat a little of it and no one will know.” Lisa thought to herself.
After a while her greed got the better of herself and she ate some of the pickle. Well, as soon as she tasted the pickle, Lisa jumped. The mango pickle was spicy hot and tasty that she could not stop herself.
After a while Mummy returned and she wanted to take the bowl of pickle to give it to some one. Alas! The bowl was half empty. She knew immediately that it must be Lisa’s work. Mummy was very upset because she had promised to give her maid some pickle so that the poor maid and her family could eat rice with pickle.
That night Mummy spoke to Lisa very sternly. “God has given you enough to eat yet you have no self control over your greed. That pickle was meant for the maid. Don’t you feel ashamed Lisa that your eating habit has become so uncontrollable that you are no more able to share with others?”
Mummy’s eyes were watering. She was not happy with her daughter’s habit, which was day by day developing into a selfish act.
Lisa felt ashamed. She promised to herself that she would learn to share the food at home and wait for others too. She asked God to help her become self-controlled. Nothing can be set right without the help of God.

Wrong Decisions…….

Posted by sudiptasapna on May 12, 2008

Mohan and Manish were two friends who lived in the village of Anandapur. Theirs was a small village yet it had all the facilities for education, medical, entertainment, transportation etc.
Mohan was the son of the local schoolteacher and Manish’s father was a veterinary doctor in the village. They studied in the high school, which was at the far end of Anandapur. Both loved spending time with each other. Mohan was quiet in nature where as Manish was the talkative and active one. He loved playing football where as Mohan would sit under the banyan tree and watch him play. Even though with different taste, both were equal in their studies. They loved to do their homework together and encouraged each other for studies. Yet there was a major difference in their temperaments. Mohan was the cool type where as Manish was the aggressive one.
One afternoon Mohan and Manish visited the city, which was 13 kilometers from the village. Manish’s father had asked them to get some medicine for his practice. The parents of both the boys had strictly asked them to return early before it was too dark. The last bus from the city to their village was at 7’O clock in the evening and they were supposed to come back even early if possible. After finishing the errand, they wandered the whole evening in the city. Mohan wanted to get back early but Manish insisted on staying back for the last bus. As there was nothing else to do Manish suggested that they enter into a movie theater and watch a movie just to pass the time. Mohan was not very convinced because he knew that the movie would end late and he did not want to miss the bus. But Manish dragged him to the theatre. Being his best friend, Mohan had to comply with his friend.
As they settled down in the movie hall, Mohan started feeling sleepy after the days walk around the city. No sooner had the movie started, Mohan drifted of to sleep. Manish was enjoying himself. At half past six, Manish woke up Mohan and they started from the movie hall to the bus stand. As they were coming out of the theatre, suddenly a man ran passed them speedily. He seemed to be in a hurry as if running away from some one. He bumped into Manish who was holding the bag full of medicine for his father’s clinic. Manish was very angry and he shouted at the man but the man did not wait nor apologized for his behavior.
Mohan and Manish reached the bus stand and were about to board the bus when a police van arrived and few police man jumped from the back of the van. Every one was wondering what was happening. Mohan and Manish were also curious. One of the police started giving orders that every one should be searched. They were searching for something. By and by Mohan and Manish’s turn arrived to be searched. They were not at all afraid but rather worried that there bus would leave. So they showed signs of hurry. The police misinterpreted their behavior and was suspicious. Not only they were searched but also the bag full of medicine was also searched. Suddenly one of the policeman straightened up, came near Manish and Mohan and slapped Manish’s cheek. The two boys were totally taken by surprise. What have they done? Some kind of white powder packets were found among the medicine packets. They were a kind of drugs called brown sugar. Having to do anything with these drugs is a serious crime. Immediately Mohan and Manish were arrested and taken to the near by police station. No one was ready to listen to the boys’ frantic appeal for innocence. Shocked, the boys did not know what to do. They were locked in the custody. It was very shameful for both of them. They did not expect to be caught as drug traffickers, but no one believed them. What would they do now? How would they inform their family at the village?

At around 5 in the morning both the Fathers of the two boys came running in to the police station. With them was another man whom Manish recognized as Uncle Akshya who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police. Mohan’s father looked at his son with sadness and anger. Was his son really involved in this business? He could not believe himself. Uncle Akshya made enquiries form the boys about what had happened the previous evening. They recollected the last evenings strange behavior of a man who had ran past them in a hurry. The police then asked them if they could identify the man. Last evening a man had been caught stealing from a jewelry shop. As the man was brought before them, Manish at once recognized him. Yes he was the man. The man who was a drug addict had ran past them in order to get away pick pocketing. He was actually trying to steal money in order to buy drugs. In the hurry, he dropped the packets into Manish’s bag. Later in the evening he tried to whisk a gold ring right under the watchful eyes of the jeweler and was caught.
Fortunately the man confessed and Mohan and Manish were given a bail.

The two boys returned home silently trying to analyze were did they go wrong. Can you find it for them?
